Governor Abba Kabiru Yusuf will inaugurate the newly reconstituted Shuurah Council on Monday, 8th September 2025, at the Government House, Kano.
The Shuurah Council aims to strengthen participatory governance, inclusiveness, and transparency in Kano State. It will serve as an advisory body, guiding the government on policies and programmes that support sustainable development.
Governor Yusuf, known for his commitment to people-oriented governance, will use the occasion to outline the Council’s objectives. He is expected to reaffirm his administration’s dedication to accountability, equity, and citizen participation in decision-making.
The Council consists of respected personalities from key stakeholder groups. Their inclusion ensures fair representation across the diverse social strata of Kano.
According to the Kano State Ministry of Information, the event highlights another step toward consolidating democratic ideals and strengthening governance institutions for effective service delivery.
Members of the Council, dignitaries, and invited guests are expected at the inauguration.
