KASA Orders Removal of Unauthorized Streetlight Pole Adverts in Kano

The Kano State Signage and Advertisement Agency (KASA) has ordered advertisers to remove all posters and billboards from streetlight poles.

The agency explained that it has not licensed the use of streetlight poles for advertising anywhere in Kano. It warned that those who refuse to comply risk enforcement actions.

“All adverts on streetlight poles in Kano State must be removed at once by their owners,” KASA said.

The agency also announced plans to create a regulated system for advertising on streetlight poles. Once approved, it will notify stakeholders and the public about how the new framework will work.

KASA appealed for cooperation and urged advertisers to respect its rules. It promised to keep outdoor advertising in Kano orderly, safe, and lawful.
